Bird Box star Sandra Bullock is making her long-awaited return to Netflix with a mission that has a surprising connection to ITV.
Bullock broke viewership information for her main position within the Netflix science fiction thriller, as a mum having to navigate her manner via a post-apocalyptic world whereas blindfolded.
Two years on from Hen Field‘s launch, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Bullock is returning to the streaming big, however, this time she will probably be remaking an ITV collection from over a decade in the past.
Some may keep in mind 2009’s Unforgiven, which starred Physician Foster‘s Suranne Jones as a girl lately launched from serving a double homicide sentence in jail, who’s determined to reunite together with her long-lost sister.
The three-part Unforgiven was created by Sally Wainwright, the author who would go on to make Final Tango in Halifax and Completely happy Valley in addition to reuniting with Suranne Jones on Scott & Bailey and Gentleman Jack.
In line with THR, Bullock will exchange Jones by turning the three-part drama collection right into a Netflix film. Mission: Unimaginable‘s Christopher McQuarrie will write the script, and German filmmaker Nora Fingscheidt will direct.
Unforgiven will probably be government produced by Graham King, of Bohemian Rhapsody and Tomb Raider fame.
As for the highly-anticipated Bird Box 2, a sequel of types is within the works — writer Josh Malerman will debut the second guide in his collection subsequent 12 months. There isn’t any definitive phrase but on if Netflix will flip it into a movie.
